It is the power of dance, which makes the eyes shine, which haven't shone for a while now. It is the energy of movement that moves those who have been standing still for a while. It is the joy of the dance that brings us into contact with each other, where the connection was lacking. - NewChoreographicDesign
Free the Soul - for clients
From experience in working in care and welfare organizations, NewChoreographicDesign has started to develop the program "free the soul". They noted that dancing alone did not provide sufficient support for the clientele. By means of personal as well as individual touch, one-to-one dance with each other within the group, translating stories of the clientele dancer, they try to give the soul fire again and to allow themselves to blossom.
Because forgetting and forgetting of the individual starts with the individual. By stimulating the soul again, they empowerment the client, so that he or she is reminded in a playful and dance-like way of their own responsibility in the face of their social, mental and emotional perceptions.
The project is about working with vulnerable groups within and outside care and welfare organisations.
The method "Free the soul" (FTS) is based on the concept that vulnerable groups still have the rich potential to grow in their mental, social and emotional skills, through the continuity of movement, experience and touch. The method does not only include moving the dancer to music, but also the touch, experience and story-telling is a major aspect of this method.
This includes:
Social and emotional interaction,
Recognizing one's own body and its possibilities,
Recognize the power of one's own story and the ability to translate and display it,
Recognising the other in which the connection is central,
Specific progression of the individual process, including the group process - the mental, social and emotional progress,
This is stimulated by the continuity of the dancing and verbal activities with each other.
The project builds on two different teachers, each with their own view and perception, who follow the VLC method, which is based on the methodology of their vision and expertise.
VerbaLess Connection- for personnel and clients
From the many positive sounds within their work, a trajectory has been developed for health personnel such as the volunteers who are interested in getting in touch with their vulnerable group in a different way. By means of simple exercises, tools and interactive tapping, a wide range is created, which they can apply and implement in their work.
The Project is part of the framework for working with vulnerable groups within and outside health and welfare organisations.
The method "VerbaLess Connection" (VLC) is based on the concept that vulnerable groups still have the rich potential to grow in their mental, physical and social skills, through the continuity of movement and experience. The method includes not only moving to music, but also the various qualities that a person is offered.
This includes:
Social and physical interaction,
Recognizing one's own body and its possibilities.
Specific progression of the individual process, including the group process - the mental progress.
This is stimulated by means of the continuity of the dancing activity with each other.
The project builds on two different teachers, each with their own view and perception, who follow the VLC method, which is based on the methodology of their vision and expertise.
Project NCD - VerbaLess Connection Information for the project participants:
Participants are interested in the theme of dance and its possibilities with regard to the development of their client as well as of themselves. They are people, volunteers and/or care staff, who want to gain access to their client in a different way. It is not the verbal skill that is seen as the primary tool for communication, but dance/movement is used as a tool. They are participants who want to broaden their horizons and take a look at the possibilities of the body as an art, experience and contact form.
The project offers:
Introduction to dance movement, what is it and what is its effect?
Targeted exercises on social, physical and mental cognitive progression
Targeted exercises to test the group dynamics as well as the individual process.
Toolbox of exercises
Choice of music and its effect
Interactive and instructive lessons that focus on the experience of individuals and groups;
Ways to apply it within one's own work
